The strings contain squares with pictures that are part of Mexican Folklore, such as the horse used by the cowboy or field hand; the bust of a mariachi along with the hat, special tie and jacket; the brasier with bellows for cooking and heating the food and the tortillas; the molcajete - urn for grinding and making the hot sauce; flowers, cocks and bulls.
The cut plastic is made by hand by craftsmen of the State of Puebla, Mexico. They also make similar items of paper and other themes. Adornos Mariana has strings of squares in many themes.
