El conjunto de mariachis es un grupo músical que se originó en la región de Jalisco - Nayarit - Colima.
Los instrumentos son: violín, guitarra, guitarrón (a veces se sustituyó el bajo sexto) y la trompeta. La música del mariachi son sones; además pueden interpretar, corridos, valses, polkas, canciones y demás música de estilo ranchero.
El mariachi está intimamente ligado a las celebraciones mexicanas desde el Siglo XIX. Su difución es internacional, pues se encuentra en Asia, en Europa, Norte, Centro, y Sudamérica.
