I'm looking for an "unrestored" steinway A-III. The piano must be complete, intact, and have a structurally sound and restorable harp (plate). This piano could be described in piano rebuilder's terms as a "basket case piano". I would prefer a wood veneer finish and restorable ivory keys. Kindest regards. Lee Heffren

Piano for Sale: Steinway

14 February 2002.

I have an 1896 Steinway C, which had been my late wife's for nearly 50 years, that I am interested in selling. It was completely reconditioned ten or fifteen years ago with a new sound board, hammers, and pin block. The ivories are original. It has a climate control system and has been tuned regularly and played daily until recently. It is black and has not been refinished.
