Violin
I started violin in 4th grade and played through
University Orchestra at University of Colorado. I studied under
Anne Vosough in Baltimore and Norman Greenhouse in Denver. I
received a lesson in a master class for violin teachers from
renowned violin teacher Sinichi Suzuki in 1966. In high school
I played in the Community Arts Symphony in Denver. A highlight
during those years was playing the Dvorak cello concerto with
Janos Starker as the cello soloist. At the University of Colorado
I had the honor of playing an all Copeland concert with Aaron
Copeland himself as conductor. During medical school I played
several years with the New Orleans Civic Symphony. I also played
with the University of Costa Rica Symphony Orchestra during the
year our family lived in Costa Rica. I have also played in many
chamber groups over the years including presently in Gallup.
Founder and Member of the Red Rock String Ensemble since 1995.
