Heather Haveman Viola Heather Haveman is originally from Holland, Michigan. She began playing both the piano and viola in elementary school. She continued playing in school orchestras and taking lessons through the 12th grade. Heather attended Hope College and earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish with a minor in Religion. After graduating in 2002, she and her husband, Nate, moved to New Mexico and began teaching at Rehoboth Christian School. Musicians cannot easily hide in the Gallup area. Heather was recruited to play with a string group, now known as the Red Rock String Ensemble, for Rehoboth Choir's Christmas concert in 2003, and later WNMU's graduation ceremony. She continues to perform with this group at various local events. Heather enjoys music of all kinds and likes to sing and play the viola, guitar and mandolin wherever and whenever the opportunities arise. |
