If livestock eat this poisonous weed they will die or become very sick.

The Hoary Cress or Whitetop has a pretty flower, too. Small flowers, which have four white petals, are borne at the top of the plant in a group, hence the name “whitetop.” The heart-shaped seed pods are tipped by a slender beak. Hoary cress reproduces or creates new plants two ways. One way is by seed and the second way is with a far-spreading, deeply penetrating root system. The Whitetop does not have any stickers, but it is poisonous to cattle.
