How do I keep noxious weeds out?

Silverleaf Nightshade is a beautiful gray or silvery perennial weed with flowers that are violet to light blue and sometimes white. It grows from one to three feet tall. The mature fruit is a yellow or dull orange berry. The little round berries look like cherry tomatoes and the fruit turns black. The fruit and plant are poisonous to livestock. It is found in rangeland, pastures, wastelands and croplands.

The best way to keep noxious weeds out is first to recognize them, second to call for help and third to learn how to eliminate them.

The Silver Nightshade or White Horsenettle should not be confused with the true Horsenettle, which does not have the silvery hairs. Instead it has toothed leaves and big spikes.
